Quality and Warranty

How our lead-acid batteries are tested, coded and covered — in writing, by capacity band.

Warranty by capacity band

Warranty on energy-storage lead-acid batteries is set by capacity, not by model name. The 24 Ah line is the dividing point.

The warranty period starts when the goods leave our factory. Batteries that qualify are replaced or credited — the buyer chooses which.

Common sizes

Type a capacity or pick one of the common sizes. The 24 Ah line decides which band applies.

The scale runs to 300 Ah. Anything larger stays in the medium band.

What the warranty covers

A quality defect that was not caused by the user, appearing inside the warranty period, is replaced or credited. In practice that means:

  • Capacity falling clearly below the rated value under the charge and discharge regime we specify, where a test confirms the loss
  • Electrolyte leakage from the case, the lid seal or a terminal
  • Case swelling or deformation that is not the result of overcharging
  • An internal short or open circuit confirmed by voltage and internal resistance readings

What it does not cover

  • Physical damage in transit or in service, including cracked cases and bent terminals
  • Overcharge or over-discharge caused by a charger set to the wrong profile, or by a charger that was never matched to the battery
  • Reverse polarity connection
  • Use outside the rated operating temperature range
  • Unauthorised repair, modification, or opening of the case
  • Long storage without the periodic refresh charge described in our maintenance guide
  • Damage from fire, flood, lightning or other events outside anyone's control

How a claim is handled

Four steps, and none of them requires you to ship the battery back first.

  1. 1Send the batch code from the case, the model, photographs of the terminals and the case, and the open-circuit voltage and internal resistance readings.
  2. 2We pull the batch record — production date, plate alloy, separator and the test data logged at dispatch.
  3. 3We confirm in writing whether the unit qualifies, and on what basis.
  4. 4Qualifying units are replaced with the same model and shipped with your next order, or separately if you need them sooner.

What is recorded before a battery leaves

A warranty is only worth the record behind it. Every shipment carries the following, whether or not you ask:

  • Open-circuit voltage and internal resistance measured on every unit
  • Capacity test on samples drawn from the batch, not on a pre-selected unit
  • Plate alloy and separator checked against the specification on the order
  • A batch code on the case, so a claim can be traced to one production window instead of a whole container

Documents that come with the order

Available on request, and included by default where the destination requires them:

  • IEC 60896 and IEC 61427 test reports for lead-acid, IEC 62133 and UN38.3 for lithium
  • CE declaration of conformity, RoHS statement and MSDS for both chemistries
  • Certificate of origin and the export documents your market requires
  • Pre-shipment photographs and an inspection report before the container is sealed

Put the warranty in the purchase order

We will send the warranty terms as a written annex you can attach to the PO, with the capacity bands and the claim process spelled out.
