What slows down a battery order
Most delays have nothing to do with production capacity — they come from an enquiry that is missing information. Here is how the process works and what we need in order to quote accurately the first time.
What to include in your enquiry
- Application — UPS, solar storage, telecom, golf cart, security, RV/marine, medical or SLI. Duty cycle matters more than the label.
- Voltage and capacity, or the model you are currently replacing.
- Quantity per model, plus your target annual volume.
- Destination port or country, so freight can be quoted correctly.
- Branding — neutral, XBATT, or your own private label.
Indicative commercial terms
- Samples: typically 2–4 weeks, test reports included
- Bulk production: usually 20–35 days after deposit
- Mixed models in one container: accepted
- Private label: carton printing, label artwork, terminal type, handle colour
These are planning figures. Final terms depend on model, quantity and season, and are confirmed in writing with every quotation.

Shipping notes
Batteries are regulated cargo, and the class depends on chemistry:
- Lead-acid ships as UN2794 / UN2800, Class 8
- Lithium packs ship as UN3480, Class 9
That means booking with a carrier that accepts dangerous goods, UN-approved packaging with correct markings, and the right declarations. Transit to most markets is 20–40 days by sea.
Quality checks worth asking for
- Open-circuit voltage and internal resistance measured per unit
- Capacity test on samples drawn from the batch
- Confirmation of plate alloy and separator against your specification
- Batch coding, so any future claim can be traced back
